Again…I disappeared for a minute, BUT I’m back. I received a couple of emails from readers telling me they miss my posts. AWWW! Thank you for keeping up with me. The blog is still under construction. Theres a few things I’m working with and I’m just waiting for the right moment to recreate my whole page. I’m losing patience but I know everything will be back to normal in no time. For now please bear with me and enjoy my random posts, lol.
It’s Friday, the day everyone waits for anxiously. Oh, and It’s Labor Day weekend, too. Hooray! I’m usually out on Fridays, not today. I’m laying in bed listening to music and going through old pictures.
Last year I attended the Sports Spectacular Honoree event to conduct interviews on the red carpet. Many athletes were honored and received awards. This event also puts together an auction to raise money for the Cedars Sinai hospital genetic research program. I’m excited to announce that I’ll be conducting interviews again this year. I can’t wait! Here are the pictures from last year’s event.
When I say TING TING, I’m referring to having a little thing for the most talked about comedian Jo Koy! I became a fan the minute I started watching his videos last year. Who knows, maybe you’ll see an interview with him and Dolce Chica soon? 😉 If you haven’t seen his latest video, check it out here.
My favorite video of all time.
Follow him. Like him. And take me to one of his shows! 😉
After judging on American Idol, Jennifer Lopez performed her number one hit right now, “On the Floor”. Is it me or does she keep looking better every day? She’s amazing!
I found this interesting article from the Women’s Health Magazine. Enjoy!
Talk More Like a Man
We don’t mean to clear your throat, speak in deeper tones, and scratch your privates between declaratives. Just get to the point quicker. As much as men love the sound of your voice and really love to help you out, their attention spans are short… (more).
Grab Hold of His Hand
Many women think that men don’t like cuddling, handholding, and other non-sexual forms of closeness; they’re wrong. Men enjoy it as much as you do, but they are conditioned to hide these deep desires to avoid the appear ance of weakness...(more).
Give Him Props
Remember how hard you worked on those show-and-tell projects in kinder garten, and how good you felt when the class clapped and, at home, dad said “attagirl”? Men are, in many ways, kindergarteners who want nothing more desperately than your appreciation and respect for their hard work...(more).
Laugh with And at Him
After her body, her sense of humor is the most attractive thing about women for men who responded to The Big Book of Sex survey. But that doesn’t mean you have to be quick with jokes and witty one-liners…(more).
I stopped by Nick Cannon’s office to conduct a couple of interviews. I got lucky enough to roam around and check out the recording studio that some celebrities use to record their albums. I’m a picture freak, so I took a few pics. Check them out!
Being Latina and breaking into the entertainment industry is not easy. Many of the most admirable women in the industry are Latinas. I truly admire every one of them for their hard work and representing the Latino community. Ever wonder how they got discovered? Every week I’ll pick one and write about how they started their careers. I did a little bit of research and this week I picked…
SOFIA VERGARA
This Colombian hottie is my favorite. She is funny, smart, and beautiful. Sofia was discovered at the age of 17 by a photographer while tanning on a beach in Colombia. Her first acting role was in a Pepsi commercial.
She later transitioned to hosting. She hosted a few shows on Univision, the most recognized hispanic network. Of course her career doesn’t end there. Everyone wanted more of the charismatic Colombian. She took an acting role on: Big Trouble (2002), Chasing Papi ( (2003), Soul Plane (2004), Four Brothers (2005), Lords of Dogtown (2005), Meet the Browns (2008), Happy Feet(2011), and The Smurfs (2011). Films are not her only specialties, she also signed a contract with ABC to appear on Hot Properties, The Knights of Prosperity, and the most talked about show, Modern Family.
Sofia is also the new face of Diet Pepsi.
Sofia has a 2o-year-old son named Manolo Gonzalez. In interviews, she talks about Manolo always making fun of her heavy accent. It certainly looks like they have a good mother and son relationship.
RANDOM FACTS:
-“In 1999 Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchú awarded Vergara the Hispanic Woman of the Year Award, commending her leadership skills representing the qualities Latina women have to offer to the world.”
– “In 2007 she was named one of The 25 Most Powerful Hispanic Women in the Entertainment Industry by The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard.”
– ” Studied pre-dentistry at the University of Columbia for three years. Only a few semesters were left to graduate before she moved to another country to pursue her acting/modeling career.”
I love Sofia. I can relate to her in a lot of ways, especially being a Latina :). Stay tuned for next week’s Hottest Latinas in the Entertainment Industry post!
I attended the Zumba Fitness DVD Launch at the Music Box venue. Nikki Hilton was releasing her first Zumba fitness video. Many celebrities attended to do a bit of Zumba workout on stage. The whole performance was hilarious. The best part of the event was meeting and interviewing Nikki Hilton. She asked me how tall I was. I wonder why, lol.
Although you can only see my hand and phone, I’m interviewing Nikki here. She was nice.
